Legalweek in March (9th-12th) … something I can definitely get used to. After 26 years of attending Legalweek/LegalTech at the NY Hilton, the conference now moves to North Javits Center. You know what they say about change but I am mentally prepped (for the most part) to embrace it. This year, ALM expects attendance from 8,000 legal professionals, C-levels, operations folks, marketers and tech business leaders from over 30 countries, representing Am Law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, and legal tech providers. And no, I have never heard of a Chief Listener Officer …
Legalweek may have swapped venues but one thing that remains ‘as is’ is our conference word cloud.
InsideLegal first provided a Legalweek (LegalTech NY back in the day) agenda word cloud in 2011 and we’re continuing the tradition. While there’s no substitute for onsite participation, networking, and full Legalweek emersion, our word cloud is meant to provide a quick preview of the topics that will be focused on. This year’s agenda features 30+ tracks spanning the ‘A to Z’ of AI, automation, data privacy and security, emerging tech, governance, discovery and practice management with specialized association membership content produced by AALL, ARMA International, CLOC, and ILTA.
While it’s easy to get caught up in the obvious BIG topics dominating the word cloud, I am always more intrigued by the themes and key words that get overlooked (i.e., are hard to read on the word cloud) …collaboration, training, priorities, metrics, and value and ROI are notably ‘undervalued’.
